Your settings in Me

Your name, home currency, how the app looks and sounds, and the way to everything about your account.

Me is where your account lives: your name and how you are shown to others, the currency you count in, how the app looks and sounds, and the way to your payment methods, notifications, groups, people, the map and the gallery. It is the button at the far left of the bar.

How to change your settings

  1. Press Me in the bar.
  2. Press your name to change your Name, "Shown to the people you share bills with.", your Initials and your Phone number.
  3. Under it, set:
    • Home currency: "New bills start in this currency unless your phone says you are somewhere else."
    • Always show my currency: "On a bill in another currency, amounts appear in your home currency first, on a tinted strip."
    • Appearance: System, Light or Dark.
    • Sound effects: Off or On.
  4. Each is saved as you change it.

What else is in Me

  • Payment methods: how people pay you.
  • Notifications: what you are told, and how.
  • Account: how you sign in, exporting your data, and deleting your account.
  • Recently deleted: bills and tabs you can bring back.
  • Groups, People, Map and Gallery.
  • Install TabApp, where your browser can install it.
  • Sign out, at the foot.

Worked example: Maya after Lisbon

Back from the Lisbon weekend, Maya opens Me. Her Home currency is British Pound. She switches on Always show my currency, so a bill in Euro leads with pounds: her 24.00 share of Dinner at Ramiro shows first as ~£20.69. She sets Appearance to Dark, and Sound effects to Off.

If something stops you
